Panelboards

eControls in Houston, Texas specializes in providing UL explosion-proof (also known as NEMA 7, ATEX, IEC Ex) and stainless steel (also known as UL Type 4x, NEMA 4X) panelboards for hazardous locations and corrosive environments. Our product solutions include panelboards with main breakers, main lug only (MLO), and fusible disconnects.  Panelboards can be made according to UL standards and the National Electric Code (NEC), or they can be made to IEC standards.  We are capable of building solutions this week, and shipping them worldwide using Paypal.

We use enclosures made by some of these leading manufacturers:

  • Cooper Crouse-Hinds
  • Emerson Appleton (Curlee, Appleton, OZ Gedney, Nelson tradenames)
  • Adalet
  • Akron
  • Killark
  • Hoffman
  • Rittal
  • Siemens

Breaker manufacturers included in our panelboards are:

  • Eaton Cutler-Hammer
  • Square D
  • Siemens
  • General Electric (GE)
  • ABB
  • Rockwell S & S

Combinations of brands can be coordinated to produce the best product for your use. For example, a stainless steel panelboard could consist of an Eaton Cutler-Hammer panelboard interior (PRL1a, PRL2a, PRL3a, PLR4a) installed into a Hoffman UL Type 4X (NEMA 4X) 316 stainless steel enclosure.  The panelboard interior could be a 480Y/277, 208Y/120 (3 phase 4 wire) or a single phase 3 wire 120/240.  In addition, they could have European voltages like 380Y/220 or just 220 VAC single phase.

The interrupting capacity of the panelboard could be 10,000; 22,000; 35,000; 42,000; 65,000; or 100,000.

For hazardous location panelboards (NEMA 7, UL Type 7, ATEX Directive), the enclosures are only rated for 10,000 AIC.  Although the breakers inside may have a higher rating, the enclosure does not.

We can provide panelboard solutions for 12 circuit, 24 circuit, or 36 circuits the same week if they follow the right pattern.

We are capable of building per UL Category NNNY which is hazardous-locations for UL Class I Division I & II.  We stock and have access to over $100,000.00 in raw panelboard material that is used to build up the finished panelboard.
