Starters
eControls in Houston, Texas specializes in providing UL explosion-proof (also known as NEMA 7, ATEX, IEC Ex) and stainless steel (also known as UL Type 4X, NEMA 4X) starters for hazardous and corrosive environments. We are capable of building solutions this week, and shipping them worldwide. We accept PayPal for all orders outside of the United States. We can provide single starter solutions, multi-starters, manual motor starters, and custom starters. Not only is eControls capable of building per UL 508a (Category NITX), but per Category NNNY which is hazardous-locations for UL Class I Division I & II. We have built ATEX solutions for CE Marking and 5 KV IEC Ex Type Z purge solutions.
We use enclosures made by some of these leading manufacturers:
- Cooper Crouse-Hinds
- Emerson Appleton (Curlee, Appleton, OZ Gedney, Nelson tradenames)
- Adalet
- Akron
- Killark
- Hoffman
- Rittal
Our product solutions include starters and combination starters. Combination starters can be non-fusible disconnect (NF), fusible disconnect, and breaker disconnect solutions. Breakers and controls manufacturers included in our solutions are:
- Eaton Cutler-Hammer
- Square D
- Siemens
- General Electric (GE)
- ABB
- Rockwell Allen-Bradley
- Rockwell S & S
This means that a combination starter solution could consist of a Crouse-Hinds EBMCFB enclosure with an Eaton Cutler-Hammer Freedom or A200 series starter with HMCP magnetic-only circuit breaker. And a starter solution could consist of an Appleton CE1KA enclosure with a Rockwell Allen-Bradley 509 series starter with Square D 9070TF50D1 control power transformer (CPT).
Most hazardous solution starters (NEMA 7) and combination starters are limited by the enclosure electrical pressure test, which is generally the equivalent of 10,000 AIC. For higher interrupting capacities, one most choose either Cooper Crouse-Hinds (50,000 AIC) using Eaton Cutler-Hammer breakers and controls or Appleton CE1BB, CE2BB, etc. (65,000 AIC) using Eaton or GE or Square D.
If you need hazardous location (NEMA 7 & 9; ATEX; IEC Ex) combination starters today, eControls is your source.
